CANON SMYTH PARISH CENTRE

 

Information about hiring any of our rooms can be found below.

 

The Canon Smyth Parish Centre contains 2 rooms that can be hired separately, including the spacious main Parish Hall.

 

The Canon Smyth Parish Centre is available for hire for various events including Bookings for Christenings, Funerals, Birthdays etc​.

 

If you are interested in hiring one of our rooms contact the Parish Office on 020 8959 1971 or email burntoak@rcdow.org.uk for further information, to check availability or to view. Alternatively, submit a completed 'Contact Form'.

Prospective Hirers may print out a copy of the Bookings Contract and Conditions of Hire form, prior to contacting the Parish Office to place a booking.

PROSPECTIVE HIRERS TO NOTE:

 

  1. Our normal hours of hire are from 9am – 6pm.

  2. The hours booked and paid for must include the time required for setting up and clearing away; standard rate £45/hour.

  3. Any agreement to hire will be subject to the Bookings Contract and Conditions of Hire; the hirer will agree to accept personal responsibility for the hiring.

  4. All rubbish must be removed from the premises at end of the Hiring.

  5. The use of Bouncy Castles on the premises is strictly prohibited.

  6. Under NO circumstances must any alcoholic drink be sold by retail on the premises without documented proof of a Temporary Event Notice submitted to the local licensing authority, Barnet Council.

  7. The HIRER is responsible for ensuring that no nails, tacks, screws, adhesive tape or other similar fixings are driven into floors, walls and fittings. Only ‘blue tack’ is permitted to be used to fix in place decorative items; this must be removed and disposed of after use. Failure to comply with this point will result in the forfeit of the full value of the security deposit. 

  8. As a responsible Parish we operate on a “Good Neighbour” principle. Please do your best to ensure that your guests/participants at any event leave the premises in a responsible manner.

You must ensure that any persons featured in the photographs have given consent for the photographs to be published on the website.
