What is the Parish Council?

The Parish Council advise the Parish Priest on various aspects of parish life and refer any matters that have arisen. If you have any concerns, comments or suggestions that you would like to raise with the Parish Council please approach the Parish Priest or a Parish Councillor.
 

How much time does it take up?

Meetings may last one or two hours, depending on the agenda set for the meeting to discuss. Such meetings won’t happen every day, the Parish Council meet bi-monthly (6 times a year) and so it’s not going to take over your life.

Why become a Parish Councillor?

By becoming a parish councillor you become someone to look to for help, guidance and support with the power to influence decisions for the benefit of the Parish Community.

Seeing the Parish Community change for the better, as a result of decisions you have helped make, is something that can give you a sense of achievement and pride.
