TAKEHOMENEWS SUNDAY 12 JANUARY 2025

RCDOW Burnt Oak

THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD  Year C

Christmastide ends officially with the feast of the Baptism of the Lord - from now on, we enter Ordinary Time, and the Gospels reflect on the life and ministry of Jesus; His day-to-day experience of growing in knowing what it meant to be the 'Beloved Son' with whom the Father is well pleased.

We have been baptised in Him and, because of that, the Father is well pleased with us too; we are all beloved children of God. No time is   really 'ordinary' since every day has opportunities for blessing and grace, moments in which to know and experience God's favour. As a parish, we give thanks for the beloved sons and daughters who have been baptised here in the past year.

Happy Sunday,  Fr Eugene .
