THE PRESENTATION OF THE LORD
This Sunday we celebrate the Presentation of the Lord. The Gospel reminds us of Anna and Simeon, two older people who kept faith and hope, awaiting the coming of 'The Light of the Peoples' (Lumen Gentium).Simeon's 'Nunc Dimittis' prayer is used every night in the Liturgy of the Hours (The Divine Office) when we say 'At last, all powerful master, you give leave to your servant to go in peace, according to your promise'. May we, in our time and place, keep faith and bear witness until the moment the Lord calls each of us home.
With every blessing, Eugene Curran CM.
